Summary: | Under the proposed Builder/Developer Discounted Facilities Membership Package, devised by district Director Ray Ochromowicz, developers would tack on an extra $1,000 to the price of a house. That $1,000 would guarantee the homeowner a three-year family membership to the district's Aquatic Center and Racquet Club. A three-year membership ordinarily costs more than $1,500, Ochromowicz said. "(Builders) look like good guys because they can say, `Hey, you get an automatic membership to these clubs,"' Ochromowicz said. And if the cost is a part of the price of the homes, many of which start at $200,000, the membership and the price may be more acceptable to the residents. |
