Summary:Glenbard East pulled the "cardiac kids" treatment on coach Dennis Lueck again. For the third straight game, the Rams pulled out a victory in the second half, edging Glenbard South 23-20 Friday night in Lombard. Mike Seip's 32-yard field goal with time running out was the difference. The play capped a 70-yard drive for the Rams (3-0, 1-0 in the Du Page Valley Conference). A 20-yard pass from Tom Denardo (5 for 12 passing, 84 yards) to Tim Drechsel had given Glenbard East the ball on the South 16. De Kalb 28, West Aurora 7-Tim Stach amassed 264 yards on 26 carries and scored touchdowns on runs of 19, two and eight yards to power De Kalb (2-1, 1-1) in the Upstate Eight. Sherman Lightfoot had 83 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown for West Aurora (1-2, 1-2).
