Summary:After a field goal by Weber's Robert Chrzescjan, Nichols threw 43 yards to Brian Thurman for the go-ahead touchdown early in the fourth quarter. St. Patrick scored on a Jim Clark 2-yard run with 2 minutes remaining, but the Shamrocks' two-point pass conversion try failed. Marist 20, Brother Rice 10-Tim Nitsche tossed 8-yard touchdown passes to Keith Brauer and Bill Harmon and Paul Andreotti added a 5-yard TD run for Marist. Tom Minarik booted a 36-yard field goal and Phil Williams caught an 11-yard TD pass from Bill Morrison for Brother Rice. St. Charles 31, Fremd 13-Tom Cavallo ripped off two TD jaunts, including a 57-yarder, Matt Riborey added a 55-yard TD run and John Larson broke off a 27-yarder as St. Charles prevailed in the nonconference matchup. For Fremd, John Calabrese caught 23- and 7-yard TD passes from QB Tim Kometer.
