Summary:Challengers to the Cook County Democratic Party's slate for countywide office were well represented Monday among the hundreds of candidates who filed nominating petitions for the March, 1988, primary election. The Cook County Democratic slate and Dunne's petitions for re-election as 42d Ward Democratic committeeman were among the hundreds of filings that took place early Monday at the Cook County clerk's office in Chicago and at the state Board of Elections headquarters in Springfield. The Democratic slate filed Monday includes Cook County State's Atty. Richard M. Daley, seeking re-election to a third term; Metropolitan Sanitary District commissioner Aurelia Pucinski, the candidate for court clerk; and State Rep. Carol Moseley Braun, a candidate for recorder of deeds and the first black slated by the Democrats for a countywide office.
