Summary: | Some background: In 1998 Windsor passed a 20-year growth boundary. Most of us who moved to Sonoma County did so to ecape from the urban sprawl of where we came from. So we know what sprawl is -- we've in seen it in San Jose, the San Fernando Valley, Orange County and San Diego. This project sets a bad precedent by opening the gates to future and similar projects. It sets us on the slippery slope to urban sprawl resulting in a replication of the Santa Clara County experience: open space lost; community separators abused; and urban growth boundaries becoming meaningless. |
