Summary:You can have a cozy breakfast with Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy for $25,000 ["Levy lays an egg," Editorial, Dec. 6]. I thought that Levy was in favor of campaign reform. Maybe it's raise the money first and then pass a campaign-reform bill. While a state legislator, Steve Levy was concerned about the quality of life for the Ronkonkoma residents living near the Town of Islip's composting facility because of the odor. As county executive, he doesn't seem concerned about or to care about the quality of life for the Yaphank residents living near the range. Five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday from 9 to 5, the residents have to listen to the constant gunshot noise. Who advised Levy on the reopening? Isn't it amazing that Jeb Bush created a commission to examine Florida's lethal injection process when not so long ago he allowed the state to put Terry Schiavo to death via starvation and dehydration ["Fla. death penalty put on hold," News, Dec. 16]? If a lethal injection offends the Constitution, why not use the Terry Schiavo method? Was that less painful or offensive? Jeb Bush has no credibility or depth of feeling for anyone but his own family.
