Summary:My admiration and respect for Bob Dole disappeared when I saw him on TV calling the wounds John Kerry sustained in Vietnam "superficial" ["Dole: Kerry owes veterans apology," News, Aug. 23]. The use of wheat in the Communion is an internal faith issue. The Communion wafer is not just a piece of unleavened bread. To the Catholic, Communion is the entire Christ. The use of wheat in Communion is not a rule that can be changed to accommodate every individual. With all the books, movies, and the media ripping President [George W. Bush] apart, we did not hear one peep from the administration. Now we have one small book, correcting John Kerry's war record, and it has created chaos in the Kerry camp. Kerry is trying to stifle the book's sales.
