Summary:Like many New Yorkers, I'm appalled at the fact that President [George W. Bush] has chosen to use the images of Ground Zero as a backdrop for his campaign ads. Bush was "in the driver's seat" when these horrific events took place. While he surely isn't totally to blame for us being attacked, he and his administration has to be held accountable for their failure to take action prior to 9/11. Bush and his staff were quick to blame the Clinton administration and the CIA for their failures to provide the necessary intelligence. But let's face it, after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, we all should have seen this coming.
