"This year, very tragically, as they were lighting the fire, some fumes escaped causing a problem." It all occurred on the school's athletic field, located at 4925 Merrick Road in Massapequa. Emergency officials said they received a radio alert from their firefighters at the scene at about 7:15 p.m. reporting the injuries.
