Summary:I read that almost one-fifth of the senators (18) appeared on TV talk shows on Sunday {"Now the Defense," Jan. 18}. I assume that they all talked about Social Security, health care reform, foreign policy in Iraq, Bosnia and other trouble spots, taxes and all the things we sent them to Washington to do for us. Who's really snarling? Your editorial of Jan. 17 describes the "snarling bunch of Republican prosecutors going after the president" {"Everyone Loses If House Fiasco Is Replayed," Currents}. The real snarling is being done these days by the partisan spin masters in the media, the sleazy pro-Clinton Democrats, and the White House, which has a team of snarling media pit bulls working full time to deflect the truth, discredit the proceedings and defame the good names of the president's detractors.
