Summary: | Meanwhile, the next hotel scheduled to open is the Sheraton-owned Walt Disney World Dolphin, adding 1,500 rooms on Disney grounds in July. Then two Disney-owned hotels, attached in the middle, are still in construction. Disney's Yacht Club is opening with 634 rooms next September, and Disney's Beach Club Resort is opening with 580 rooms in November. So the Vermont resort is introducing ski weeks for families with teenagers. Teen Ski, a special ski-week program for teens, is scheduled to coincide with school vacations (Dec. 24-29, Feb. 11-16, 18-23 and March 11-16). The format of the classes is different from the children's ski school in that it uses coaching methods rather than talks and "copy-me" approaches. Targeted for ages 13-17, the teen program includes apres-ski activities.Monday night, there's a welcome party, Tuesday a "for-teens-only" mixer. Wednesday is a ski magic show; Thursdays are ski school races, an awards party, hot dog roast and evening skating party. Information: (802) 773-1330. |
