Summary:ANALYSIS: Portland will throw more than 30 times with QB Chris Treister looking for a core of talented receivers. WRs Joey Martin and Scott Nappi will have to be contained. Gorham will run out of its double-wing formation. The top ball carriers for the Rams are Andy Oldenburg and Justin Villacci. Portland will have most of its defense close to the line to stop Gorham. The Rams only passed three times in their opener. PREDICTION: Portland, 32-13 LAST WEEK: Thornton Academy lost to Portland 42-14; Marshwood beat Windham, 21-20 ANALYSIS: QB Max Baillargeron and FB Jason Perreault are capable of big plays in Thornton's spread option offense. Marshwood likes to give the ball to RBs Garrett Cooley and Pat Wormel. WR Mike Thomas provides a big target for QB Nate Messier. PREDICTION: Thornton Academy, 24-13 ANALYSIS: [Dirigo] will find it difficult to run against Lisbon's defensive line anchored by Elijah Treffts, Mark Stambach and Nick Harmon. They keep blockers off speedy LBs Carl Grady, Jesse Moan and Dan Willis. Dirigo QB Spencer Berry will challenge Lisbon through the air. "In preparation for Dirigo, we have concentrated on pass coverage," said Lisbon Coach Dick Mynahan. PREDICTION: Lisbon, 40-7
