Wrong to be there, but we can't leave
It seems that the president is out of touch with the reality of what is really happening in Iraq. Somebody the president knows and trusts should go up to him and tap him on the shoulder and say "Psst! Hey dubya, do you wanna know what's really going on in Iraq?"
