Summary: | [George Lupfer] and Carlisle neighbor Joe Grabey are proof that you don't have to live in York County to serve the association. Both, along with Barry Black, have the golfing expertise to play and rate golf courses, a service that is free to all YCAGA member courses. Besides serving on the ratings panel, Lupfer can be seen at virtually all YCAGA events. He'll be an early starter on the course and, when his round is over, he'll take over manning the scoreboard, calling in scores or wherever the need is greatest in this volunteer- run organization. Lupfer, who owns his own transmission shop in the Carlisle area, got started with the YCAGA as an assistant course rep for Range End in 1973. He's been a life member since 1990 and was named YCAGA Man of the Year in 1997. |
