Summary:PHOTO 3; STAFF PHOTOS / DANIELLE RAPPAPORT / danielle.rappaport@heraldtribune.com Seven months pregnant, Alisha [Buckingham] cannot afford to complete her unfinished home that Avalon Homes was supposed to build. The 32- year-old waitress wanted a two-story house, and Avalon was one of only two builders in North Port offering them. Buckingham has drained her savings and had to buy another home to live in. [Sheila Schaller] moved from Michigan to oversee the construction of her family's home. Now she is finishing the home without Avalon and reaching out to other victims. (The following photo appeared in the Charlotte edition:) STAFF PHOTO / JENNA ISAACSON / jenna.isaacson@heraldtribune.com [Darrin Morehouse] is working hard to finish the home he contracted with Avalon Homes to build two years ago. Since January, he's been working at least six days a week to complete the house on Janus Avenue in North Port. It is finally nearing completion.
