Next, Hamilton defeated Oakridge 5-4, with David Ferritto leading the scoring with a hat trick. Matthew Aube, and Campanella chipped in singles. The Hornets ended the round robin by defeating Woodstock 10 -1. Matthew Carey led the Hornets with a hat trick. Campanella notched a pair while Call Smith, Angelo DiCesare and David Fetrilto tallied the singles. Hornets defeated Lawfield 3- 2 in the semifinals in overtime with David Ferritto potting the winner. Other goal scorers were, Carey and Campenella. Hornets then met Oakridge in the finals. The game went into overtime tied at 2-2 and was decided in the eighth period of overtime with Lucas Ferritto scoring the winner. DiCesare, and Camparlella also scored for the Hornets. Hamilton and Area Curling Association Little Rock Bonspiel results. In the first event, the winner was the Grimsby Curling Club with Jordan Brandwood, MacKenzie Thomas, Jamie Greenlees and Rachel Friesen. The runnerup was Grimsby Curling Club with Christopher Hermiston, Blayze Sullivan, Aaron Howe and Steeves Guild. The second- event winner was Glendale Curling CLub with Adam Minaker, Jamie-Lyn Minaker, Anthony Iacozza and Maddison Turner. Runnerup was Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club with Lauren Shurtleff, Ellen Shurtleff, Zack Shurtleff and Laura Dobson. In the third event, the winner was Dundas Valley with Patrick Valoppi, Amanda Valoppi, Dan Chaput and Paige Fursman. Runnerup was Dundas Valley with Erin Duffy, Sydney Chasty, Meagan Duffy and Evan Chasty The fourth-event winner was Glanford Curling Club with Christine Rowell, Daniel Norwood, Kaylee Norwood and Joeylin Halchuk. The runnerup was Glanford Curling Club representing Hamilton Area Curling Association with Cody Ashton, Connor Brodnicki, Doug Kee and Jacob Brodnicki. In Niagara Falls, two boxers from the Hamilton Boxing Club fought tough fights. First off, making his second appearance in the ring, Hamilton's middleweight Dan Ludwig fought veteran Fabricio Portello from Waterloo who has eight bouts experience to his credit. After three rounds of boxing, Hamilton's Ludwig received the unanimous 3- 0 decision, improving his record to 2-0. Thirty-five-year-old Brandon Boone from the City Boxing Club fought and won his bout in the third round, defeating his opponent from Niagara Falls, Mike Anderson. Also, from Hamilton, 2004 Ontario silver medallist Justin Fountain at 150 pounds. In his second international bout, he faced the U.S.A. 2003 and 2004 national gold-medal champion and also the 2003 Kansas Ringside Tournament gold medallist, Felix Mercedes. In the main event, the bout was a close one, but the American boxer won two out of the three rounds, getting the win over Hamilton's Fountain.
