If you are limited in your vegetable and fruit selections because of your family's tastes, expand their horizons. Offer new vegetables and fruit several times to encourage acceptance and involve your children in buying and preparing vegetables and fruit. These are only a few suggestions. If you would like to learn more about fitting vegetables and fruit into your meals, there is an exciting opportunity available. Take 5: 5-10 a day ... your way, is a new program being offered by Social and Public Health Services. It involves six 90-minute sessions covering the benefits of vegetable and fruit consumption, and aims to help participants increase their vegetable and fruit intake to five to 10 servings a day.
