Summary:Before [Tham Ngoc Doan] regained his balance, [David Nametka] punched him twice more. Doan staggered backwards, dropping the shovel. Nametka picked it up just as an enraged Doan charged at him. Nametka said he struck the man over the head with the shovel. Nametka decided to move the body to the back porch. He said he feared Doan's friends, whom he believed to be members of an Asian Triad in Toronto, would be looking for him. Nametka felt they would kill him if they showed up and found Doan dead on his couch. He said Doan, who was a heavy user as well as a dealer of crack cocaine, was erratic and unpredictable. Sometimes Doan was relaxed about Nametka's drug debt. Other times, he was hostile and physically threatening.
