Summary:The answer, of course, is to get to the other side - and to Teddy's II. Owners Edward "Teddy" and Linda Mitchell opened Teddy's 5 1/2 years ago and they've battled the state almost as long to have a crosswalk repainted across the road separating their restaurant from its parking lot. "You worry about people, especially the elderly," Linda Mitchell said. Teddy's menu, offering a variety of appetizers and sandwiches as well as seafood, chicken, beef and pork entrees, was supplemented by a dozen daily specials. "Teddy" Mitchell, whose family ran the former Milly Mitchell's restaurant in Mendon, creates the menus and does some of the cooking. He likes to offer a big variety of dishes, and he's not afraid to try new things, Linda Mitchell said of her husband. "We've had mahi-mahi to liver and onions." For dinner, we decided on Haddock Denise ($9.95) from the specials menu and Cajun chicken ($9.95) from the regular menu. The entrees came with a basic salad, consisting mainly of iceburg lettuce, a baked potato (our waitress said there was only one twice- baked potato left) and the veggie of the day, which was carrots.
