Summary: | WAC SNACK: Air Force junior quarterback Rob Perez moved to third on the league rushing chart with a 61.5-yard average in his eight games played. However, he still trails the total rushing yards of AFA fullbacks Jason Jones (515 yards, 51.5 average, ninth in WAC) and Rodney Lewis (514 yards, 51.4 average, 10th in WAC), both who played in all 10 games. . . . CSU fullback Todd Yert leads the WAC in points with 84 on 14 touchdowns in 10 games, but San Diego State kicker Andy Trakas leads in per-game scoring with 9.13 in eight games. . . . BYU took over the lead from Hawaii in rushing defense (104.4-yard average) and pass efficiency defense (110.5). The Cougars top three league offensive categories: passing (445.7 yards), total (564.44 yards) and scoring (43.6 points). "I'd love to see BYU and (top-ranked) Notre Dame play," said AFA head coach Fisher DeBerry. |
