Summary: | We must also make changes in our immigration laws. There are those who come to Canada with a complete disregard for the laws of this country. We must have proper screening for both immigrants and refugees. If those with criminal intent do slip through the cracks, there must be swift and efficient deportation. This must be done regardless of the laws of the other country. It's argued that the death penalty will not deter anyone from committing a violent crime, but since most killers are selfish to the extreme, I feel certain many would think twice if they knew that death was the punishment. Laws are always difficult to change. That's why it is imperative that men like Chuck Cadman and Steve Carpenter have the full support of the public. |
