Summary:Deputy Prime Miniter and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is the key speaker of the conference, is expected to unleash Malaysia's proposal on how the group can emerge as the world's most developed region, and most importantly its effort to match the developed Group of Seven (G- 7) countries. Anwar, who is one of the founding members of the council, is also expected to unveil a strategic development cooperation plan for Asean, which analysts said can overcome problems arising from current and future challenges. On Friday, Anwar will be conferred the Jose Rizal Award at the conference of the Centennial Revolution, as a recognition for his efforts in bringing all Asean nations much closer to the spirit of "Nusantara".
