But the lawmaker said he has a policy against signing on to letters to committees on which he sits. He knows Wisconsin's federal lawmakers and their aides because he worked most recently as a lobbyist for Milwaukee-based Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek Government Affairs. Among his clients was the State of Wisconsin when the feds decided which military bases to close last year and moved the 440th Airlift Wing from Milwaukee. [Erik Oksala], who came on board late in January, is the office's fourth director under [Jim Doyle]. Sarah Neimeyer, who led the office from 2003- '05, left for The Wilderness Society. She was followed by an acting director, Amy Johnson, who served from January 2005 until last June and now is a consultant for Sellers Feinberg in Philadelphia. |
