However, she said [Philip Arreola] should pressure Gov. Tommy Thompson to build a new prison in the Milwaukee area, a move that local officials hope would relieve jail overcrowding. "No one asked us (law enforcement)," Arreola said. "This makes the jobs oo 180 criminals accused of violating their probations or paroles be monitored in their community instead of being locked up in the jail or the House of Correction. Also, supervisors recommended that a booking magistrate program be expanded from four to seven evenings per week.
