Summary:NOTICE TEXT: The Department of Defense (DoD) is seeking Commercial- Off-The- Shelf (COTS) Explosive Detection Equipment (EDE) capable of finding Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in mail, parcels, cargo, vehicles, and on personnel that pose hazards to military operations. This market survey solicits vendors' information that fully explains their existing technology features/capabilities using the measures of performance defined separately. In the future, subject to availability of funds, Naval EOD Technology Division may select EDE systems for testing and evaluation. The information gathered is intended to be used by government physical security/force protection and procurement officials in their assessment of the commercial market capabilities.
