Summary:Slice the red onion into 4 to 5 round disks. Keep each piece together, then brush with the remaining Italian dressing from the mixing bowl. Place on the grill, close the lid, and cook for about 7 minutes. While the onion cooks, cut the peppers into 1-inch pieces, and add to the mixing bowl. Cut the grilled sausages lengthwise in quarters, then chop into 1-inch pieces. Add the sausages to the mixing bowl, then toss with the balsamic vinegar and basil leaves. Remove the onions from the grill to the cutting board, cut into 1- inch pieces, and add to rest of the ingredients. Mix well, then serve with a side salad and spicy mustard. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
