Summary:I'm responding to the July 29 Page 1 story "Top Prosecutor Stays Out Of Frankel Case; U.S. Attorney Has Indirect Ties To Key Figures In Frankel Probe." It concerned the decision of U.S. Attorney Stephen Robinson to recuse himself from the investigation of fugitive Martin Frankel. The story said that "because Robinson, the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut, has uncomfortable connections to the tangled tale of fugitive financier Martin Frankel," he has recused himself from the case. Indeed, the story said, Mr. Robinson has taken "the unusual step of giving control of the worldwide probe to a deputy."
