Summary:Last week, ODOT installed concrete barriers in the center of North Fairfield Road while it widens two east lanes of the four- lane road. Construction created a two- to three-feet-drop in the east lanes. Beavercreek City Manager Daniel E. Dubruiel said it also created the problem. The project's contract was awarded to Mainline Road and Bridge Construction of Beavercreek on April 4. A traffic director from the company has been at [Jonathon] and North Fairfield since residents began to complain. He was not there Wednesday, but [Janis Cravens] said he normally works during peak traffic times. A CAR WAITS to turn left on Wednesday at Jonathon Drive and North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek. City officials and some residents say concrete barriers on North Fairfield Road obstruct the view of those turning left from Jonathon Drive, the only road available to residents of an 80-home subdivision.
