Summary: | EDITOR'S NOTE: Joseph R. Krall is executive director of the Federation of Windsor-Essex County Tenants Associations. Carol McDermott is a tenant lawyer with Legal Assistance of Windsor. The other two issues in this bill are separate and distinct: apartments in houses (accessory apartments) and garden suites. Even if [Bill] 120 does encourage the construction of a considerable number of new apartments in houses, many of these new tenants will not own vehicles because they have chosen a modest dwelling precisely because their limited income will not afford them a car. |
