Summary:The once secret F-117 and B-2 Stealth aircraft programs were managed at Wright-Patterson. The base is also the home of Wright Laboratory, the nation's biggest aeronautical research complex. Part of Wright Lab's research includes Stealth technology. The Air Force center that analyzes foreign aerospace technology is located at Wright-Patterson. In 1947, it was involved in the investigation of an object found near Roswell, N.M. The object, officially said to be a downed weather balloon, led to enduring stories that a crashed flying saucer was recovered with the bodies of an alien crew. Some contend the bodies were brought to Wright-Patterson.
