Summary:Making the team along with [Nnamani] were Logan Tom, a Standford teammate of Nnamani's, Wiz Bachman, Keba Phipps, Danielle Scott, Tara Cross-Battle, Stacy Skykora, Heather Bown, Robyn Ah Mow- Santos, Lindsey Berg, Nancy Metcalf and Tayyiba Haneef. This is not the first time Nnamani has played for the U.S. national team. She also played for the USA women's national training volleyball team in 2003 in the Pan American Games, winning a bronze medal; the U.S. National A2 program in '01; and the pre-Olympic Training team in '00. Ogonna Nnamani blocked the smash of Karina Ocasio of Puerto Rico, during a match at the Pan American Games last year. Nnamani will play on the United States volleyball team in the Summer Olympics in Athens.
