Summary:Yes, it is true that there are areas in West Edmonton Mall that need refurbishing because of the general fatigue caused by heavy traffic. We have just come out of a very busy summer, and in some cases, a record summer. This, coupled with unfortunate acts of vandalism, takes its toll. We are, however, continually in the process of improving the common areas as well as the parks and attractions. Cleanliness is a priority. Already this year the mall has spent over $8 million for upgrades and new attractions. The Fantasyland Hotel lobby and guest rooms have been revamped, washrooms throughout the mall have been upgraded and the World Waterpark's ``Little Caribbean'' and ``Galaxykids'' play structures have been added.
