Summary:[Kevin Lemieux] hopes to sell 25,000 copies of the 22 new guides at $19.95 each plus GST. Business boomed after Lemieux hooked up with The Journal's educational services program. But he thinks that's just the beginning. The chief selling point of the guides, which range from 130 to 300 pages, is that they're based on the Alberta curriculum. Lemieux says students who use the guides raise their exam marks about five per cent over their school marks. Lemieux says the guides aren't intended to replace classroom teaching, but to supplement a student's knowledge. He said students who buy the guides now can work through them during the school year.
