Summary:Manchester United's 3-0 defeat at Newcastle ended with the champions down to 10 men and four others went in the referee's book while Leeds United's 1-0 victory over Tottenham was peppered with eight yellow cards. At Chelsea, where Wimbledon were beaten by three late goals, referee Peter Jones will report to the FA on an alleged players' tunnel scuffle at the final whistle. In all, 32 yellow cards were show in the Premiership. There was bad blood at Elland Road. Leeds striker Alan Smith had been sent off for butting Tottenham defender Mauricio Taricco when the teams played earlier in the season. Yesterday, referee Dermot Gallagher began issuing yellow cards towards the end of the first half but he almost lost control four minutes after the break when Lee Bowyer caught Stephen Clemence with a late tackle.
