Summary: | Sir, We share many of the concerns expressed in the article by Brian Groom concerning the difficulties faced by smaller listed companies ("A sizeable problem", August 23). It is clear to us that the loss of mainstream institutional interest in small cap stocks is structural rather than cyclical for many of the reasons you state. Attempts to improve communications between company and investor and the quality and depth of information on companies, although wholly worthwhile, are unlikely to alleviate in any material way the predicament of smaller listed companies. |
