What horse went back to Cheltenham after losing out in a great year in the Royal & SunAlliance Novices' Hurdle to Nicanor and leathered them on his return in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase as Denman did? When he lost to Nicanor, [Ruby Walsh] admitted not giving him a great ride and the horse was far too keen throughout the race. But if you look back on it, you can see how even though Denman looked beaten going to the last, he never gave up. That is what makes this horse so good and he hasn't been beaten since. |
