Summary: | Last week, Las Vegas-based National Airlines Inc. started a fare sale that lets customers fly one way to Las Vegas for $1 and return home for as little as $24, $49 or $74, depending on the length of the trip. Nancy Strong, owner of Strong Travel Services Inc. in Dallas, has been getting about 30 faxes a day with special deals from tour operators and other travel-related companies. Some of the deals boast price cuts as deep as 60 per cent. For example, the Sea Dream Yacht Club is offering a seven-day trip in the Caribbean -- a trip that normally costs as much as $5,000 -- for less than $1,600 per person. |
