Summary:Trustees present at a board meeting earlier this week "revisited" the firmly held position of former gallery director Alf Bogusky that he wanted trustees who could raise money, not artists, according to board president Merla Beckerman. "We had a chance to revisit the previous director's position," Beckerman said, "and the nominating committee will be looking into changing that." The nominating committee is headed by developer Michael Audain, immediate past-president of the board of trustees and one of Canada's most respected art collectors. Asked what kind of person she would like to see leading the VAG, Beckerman said it would be an individual of extremely varied talents.
