Kettle campaign has'strongest day yet'; Fundraiser still short of its $500,000 goal

The Salvation Army kettle campaign received more than $35,000 in Ottawa Wednesday, bringing this year's total to $415,000 -- still short of the charity's $500,000 goal, said Michael Maidment, spokesman for the Salvation Army in Ottawa.
