I disagree. Those of us who favour some kind of pesticide ban feel like we were hoodwinked, and we welcome Councillor Alex Cullen's initiative to reopen the matter. According to the recent poll mentioned, a substantial majority of Ottawa residents feel that the cosmetic use of pesticides is a public health issue. Yet Councillor Jan Harder names graffiti as a more pressing problem. Say what? I've yet to hear of any people or pets whose health was damaged by graffiti. |
