Summary: | Liberal activists have written several letters attacking [John Fenik] saying he was "fired" from his post in February as campaign manager for Liberal candidate Philippe Archambault, although none of these letters give reasons for the so-called "firing". The problem for these Liberals is that John Fenik is known as a man of integrity and principle all across Lanark County where he has been warden and in the Town of Perth where he has been acclaimed mayor for three terms. This was the point of [Scott Reid]'s letter. Scurrilous attacks such as Mr. [Ken Fisher]'s on John Fenik do not reflect well on the Liberal candidate he is promoting. Last February there was a clear difference of opinion between John Fenik and the Liberal election committee, and the many people who know John will know that he will have had good reasons for withdrawing from the Liberal fold. |
