Summary:The renovations at Elm Park continue and I'm pleased to tell you the bridge that will be named for Myra Kraft, refurbished and reassembled by the students at Worcester Tech and WPI, and will be in place by springtime. The parking garage at CitySquare has already begun construction, and the residential development will be starting in the middle of next year. Three hotels are scheduled to be built in the next three years here in Worcester. Both public and private investment is changing the face of the South Worcester Industrial Park and development continues to take shape on North Main Street. The Mayor and Manager's Youth Violence Taskforce is working with our police force and community shareholders to explore solutions to youth violence. The Community Health Improvement Plan continues to bring us closer to our goal of being the healthiest city in New England by 2020. The Mayor's Urban Agriculture Roundtable is working with our city departments and the community to bring healthy, affordable food to our urban core. Like all problems our city faces, we cannot confront these issues effectively without our partners in the community.
