Summary: | In the May 14 edition, this public forum is now described as a strategic planning meeting. I read the mayor's letter, which I found a little hard to comprehend; it seemed to say that innovation is good, disagreement is necessary to stimulate debate in a democratic fashion, and will lead to innovation, but dissension is bad and must be dealt with. Does the mayor decide when disagreement becomes dissension? In the May 21 edition a letter from a former town councillor questions the mayor's claimed expenses, and we hear of meetings of a few councillors in the mayor's house - also claimed against expenses. |
