Summary: | Lastly, I was inspired to take action by a young, twenty-something "up and coming" businesswoman, complete in leopard skin heels, who stepped forward to pledge her own insurance policy for the betterment of Hamilton. I always figured planned giving was more for the silver-haired crowd, but when you think of it, purchasing a charitable insurance policy when you're that green is brilliant. At her age, the premiums will be "cheap like borscht" and she will be able to leverage those very affordable monthly premiums to provide a hefty legacy to the Forever Fund. Some of us are less "up and coming" and more "down and going" and insurance premiums might become prohibitively expensive. Do you have an old policy lying around that is fully paid up? Transfer this to your favourite charity and receive a receipt for the cash surrender value. |
