The company began producing art pottery and dinnerware, which enabled it to not only survive the Depression but also provided Gladding, McBean resounding financial success for decades to come. While place settings are plentiful and inexpensive, serving pieces, especially those with lids topped by complete apple or rose finials are sought after and bring $40-50, although an Apple soup tureen recently sold for $173. |
