Summary: | The stressed conditions of operation of liquid-friction bearings (LFB) in rolling mills and the design features of the circulating lubricant systems improve severe requirements on the service properties of the oils for these bearings, the most important of which is the load-carrying capacity. The authors are reporting on an investigation of the load-carrying capacity of compounded oils Pp-6, Pp-17, and Pp-28 that have been developed for LFBs, in comparison with nonadditive oils. |
