Summary:This article deals with the income differential between four demographic groups in Guatemala: indigenous women, indigenous men, non-indigenous women & non-indigenous men. Specifically, the non-observable component of the income differential, is analyzed in accordance with the Oaxaca-Blinder model, component has been identified as discrimination. It is concluded, that the largest income difference is caused by discrimination against women in general, & specially, against non-indigenous women who, in spite of having similar levels of education & experience as those of both indigenous & non-indigenous males, receive lower average incomes.
