Summary: | This paper describes a state model for PD inception voltage in main insulation of big rotating machines (BRM). Intends of the present paper were: to show the behaviour of PD inception voltage under different factors; and to know the relationships between the size of cavities and the instantaneous value of AC applied voltage to the insulation. The objective of this paper is offer a computational tool able to model the performance of some PD characteristic parameters when main insulation is under operation conditions. |
