EAM-based all-optical wavelength converter from 1310nm to C-band
An all-optical wavelength converter for optical access networks is proposed. Conversion from 1310nm to the C-band is realised based on cross-absorption modulation in a 1550nm electroabsorption modulator (EAM). Experimental results are presented and discussed.
