Field- and temperature-dependent magnetic hysteresis in GdBa2Cu3O7-d ceramics

Magnetic hysteresis measurements are performed in GdBa2Cu3O7-*D ceramics, and effects of magnetic field, temperature and substitution are studied. The hysteresis *DM is found to decay exponentially with temperature: *DM #r exp[-T/T0]. The activation temperature 70 varies mildly around 20 K, which se...

Summary:Magnetic hysteresis measurements are performed in GdBa2Cu3O7-*D ceramics, and effects of magnetic field, temperature and substitution are studied. The hysteresis *DM is found to decay exponentially with temperature: *DM #r exp[-T/T0]. The activation temperature 70 varies mildly around 20 K, which seems to depend on the magnetic field as H-1/n. Substitution tends to increase *DM at lower fields. The results are examined in relation to ceramic nature of the sample.
